PrintMonohull DP-2 Accommodation Vessel

The dynamically positioned Accommodation & Support Vessel 'DAN Swift' is being converted from a former cable laying ship. The vessel will be outfitted to a high standard with 291 berths (256 excluding crew/catering) with delivery expected October 2008 after conversion at Blohm & Voss, Germany.

The vessel is designed to work adjacent to both fixed offshore structures and floating units such as FPSO's in benign and intermediate waters. It has been fully tank tested to determine its station keeping and suitability for personnel transfer in a variety of environments. The vessel will be both outfitted and prepared for the following duties:

  • Accommodation support
  • Maintenance support
  • Light construction works
  • Crane operations

The vessel is DP-2 class and is prepared for upgrade to DP-3. The vessel will be equipped with telescopic gangways on the port and starboard sides and can be fitted with a main crane of capacity up to 1200 tonne metres.
